Дэвид Чемберлен — один из создателей новой области знаний — пренатальной и перинатальной психологии. Изучал гипноз и его клиническое-применение. Участвовал в создании Ассоциации пре- и перинатальной психологии и здоровья и почти 10 лет был ее президентом. Редактор сайта этой ассоциации. Доктор Чемберлен преподает в Институте Santa Barbara Graduate. Продолжает свои исследования и психотерапевтическую практику в городе Невада, Калифорния.
